Reviews and student stories 2026
I’ve come so far since last year!!
Over the past year, I’ve had the opportunity to grow my tutoring in so many ways. Alongside my private sessions, I’ve also introduced group sessions, which have been such a lovely experience. It’s been amazing to see students not only become more confident in maths, but also grow in confidence when learning alongside other students, sharing ideas and supporting one another.
Every student I work with teaches me something new, and over the past year I’ve learnt so much too. I’m constantly developing my teaching, trying new approaches and finding better ways to support different students and their individual needs — and I think that’s one of the things I love most about tutoring!
I’ve asked some of my students and their parents to share honest and open feedback about their experiences with me. Their reviews give a real insight into the progress students have made and what they’ve enjoyed about their tutoring journey with me.
Jack, student (private and group tuition)
“It was extremely helpful. After starting these sessions, I passed my maths mock, so it was very clear these were effective. The communication and the way you taught us was very helpful in my opinion.”
Evie, student (group tuition)
“Izzy has helped me develop in maths so much. I have been understanding things in maths way better than I did before. I am very grateful for her teaching me all the stuff I didn’t understand before. She is absolutely outstanding and I really appreciate her help!!”
Isla, student (group tuition)
“I liked when you went through the topic and then let us do questions by ourselves and went through them after, and you were always there to help when we needed it. I also liked when we did past papers at the end of some sessions and then you went through the questions after a few minutes, as past papers help a lot. I’ve been able to understand topics that I’ve found difficult for ages. You’ve been very helpful, thank you.”

“My daughter Isla has enjoyed her lessons. It was not a chore to get her to participate. She was able to do so independently as I work long shifts.
For some parents, it can be quite expensive to provide tutors when our children are struggling. These lessons were reasonably priced and easy to be included as they were online. Isla can be quite shy, so this made it easy for her to be included and she felt she could ask for assistance if she required. She informed me that she gained a lot from the sessions and therefore wanted to carry on with the lessons during the Easter break.”

“Izzy has been a massive help in helping my son understand maths, especially the harder maths questions.
This has shown in his latest GCSE mock results compared to his previous results. He understood Izzy’s methods and preferred the way she explained the questions and answers to how his school teacher does.
He found Izzy engaging and helpful. As a parent, when liaising with Izzy, she’s extremely professional, helpful and polite. We would both highly recommend Izzy to anyone.”

“Great communication from yourself, which has helped Shani, as she can find certain tasks difficult with other tutors.
She has given us great feedback from your sessions every Wednesday. It has helped her to be more positive around Maths, as she has learned new things and gone over things she was struggling with.
If anything changes in the future and she does need more support through college, you will be the first call we make.
We are very happy we came across you and your fantastic reviews, and we wish you well for your future.
Again, we thank you so much.
Maria, Ian & Shani”
