I’ve come so far since last year!!

Over the past year, I’ve had the opportunity to grow my tutoring in so many ways. Alongside my private sessions, I’ve also introduced group sessions, which have been such a lovely experience. It’s been amazing to see students not only become more confident in maths, but also grow in confidence when learning alongside other students, sharing ideas and supporting one another.

Every student I work with teaches me something new, and over the past year I’ve learnt so much too. I’m constantly developing my teaching, trying new approaches and finding better ways to support different students and their individual needs — and I think that’s one of the things I love most about tutoring!

I’ve asked some of my students and their parents to share honest and open feedback about their experiences with me. Their reviews give a real insight into the progress students have made and what they’ve enjoyed about their tutoring journey with me.

“My daughter Isla has enjoyed her lessons. It was not a chore to get her to participate. She was able to do so independently as I work long shifts.

For some parents, it can be quite expensive to provide tutors when our children are struggling. These lessons were reasonably priced and easy to be included as they were online. Isla can be quite shy, so this made it easy for her to be included and she felt she could ask for assistance if she required. She informed me that she gained a lot from the sessions and therefore wanted to carry on with the lessons during the Easter break.”

GCSE Results Success Stories 2025

I am so proud to share the incredible achievements of my GCSE students this year! Every single one of them passed their exams and are now moving on to the next exciting stage of their education. Their hard work, dedication, and resilience have been truly inspiring.

GCSE Foundation mathematics students:

🎉 Poppy

When Poppy first came to me, she was working at a grade 2/3 in maths. In just 3 months, through consistent effort and determination, she achieved a grade 4 in her final exams! This fantastic progress means she is now able to go on to college to study Childcare — a brilliant achievement that opens the door to her future career.

🎉 Milly

Milly was initially achieving around a grade 3 in maths. With steady progress, lots of perseverance, and a positive attitude, she pushed herself up to a grade 4 in her exams. She is now going on to college to continue her studies and take the next step toward her future ambitions.

🎉 Scarlett

Scarlett began at a solid grade 4 but wanted to push herself further. Through hard work and commitment, she raised her grade to an impressive grade 5! She is now moving on to study A Levels at sixth form, a fantastic opportunity that her determination has made possible.

Owen’s story shows how much can be achieved in a short space of time. He came to me for tuition just two weeks before his GCSEs. In that short period, he made huge progress and went on to achieve a grade 5 in English! He is now heading to sixth form to continue his studies.

Welcome to IW Tutoring! My name is Izzy and I am dedicated to providing personalised, high-quality academic support designed to help students of all abilities grow in confidence, develop essential skills, and achieve their full potential. As an A Level student currently studying Biology, Maths, and History, I combine my own academic experience with over 18 months of tutoring practice to deliver tailored, effective learning experiences.

My passion for tutoring was inspired by a remarkable tutor I had, whose guidance not only helped me succeed academically but also inspired me to pursue teaching. Through her support, I discovered the joy of learning and the profound impact that patient, personalised instruction can have. This experience motivated me to help others with the same level of care, enthusiasm, and commitment.

At IW Tutoring, I offer a range of services including private one-on-one sessions and interactive online group sessions. Each is designed to meet individual learning needs, whether that’s mastering core concepts, preparing for exams, or developing effective study habits. All sessions are conducted online, with the option of in-person tutoring available in the Derbyshire area.

I aim to create a warm, patient, and motivating environment where every student feels supported and empowered to succeed.
